This exhibition catalog is published in conjunction with 100 Candleholders at Blunk Space, on view from January 17 through March 28, 2026.

100 Candleholders marks the second installment of our ongoing “100” series, inspired by JB Blunk’s 1981 exhibition 100 Plates Plus, in which he playfully pushed the boundaries of one of his most prolific forms—both visually and functionally. This group exhibition brings together over 100 artists from around the world, each responding to a shared brief: to create a candleholder, in any material, inspired by JB Blunk’s work or the Blunk House.

The catalog features photographs of every candleholder in the exhibition, accompanied by texts written by the artists describing their individual pieces. It also includes an essay by Nora Boyd exploring candleholders and the unique potency of the object. Designed by Kajsa Ståhl and printed on non-archival newsprint by Newspaper Club in London, UK.
