This series of five walnut plates draws from the originals made by JB Blunk, which were used daily by the family in the Blunk House in Inverness, California. Handmade by Inverness-based carpenter Sam Lillestol, each plate embodies simplicity of functional objects made to be lived with, and the decorative marks of the artist’s hand. Available individually or here as a complete set of five unique designs, they honor Blunk’s legacy of craftsmanship as a way of life.
Each plate is handmade and carries its own subtle variations.
